At Haalah Salukis, I often get asked about the cost of a Saluki puppy, so I want to share what goes into raising these special dogs. Responsible breeding involves careful sire selection (with stud fees up to $2,000), full health screenings for the dam, progesterone testing for timing, and sometimes emergency procedures like C-sections. After birth, expenses include premium nutrition, vet check-ups, dew claw removal, first vaccinations, and health certificates. Puppy prices typically range from $1,000 to $2,000, reflecting the quality, health, and longevity of my lines — with some of my Salukis living 15 years or more. A $350 deposit reserves a puppy before birth (fully refundable if no match is found), and a $500 deposit is required once puppies are born, with shipping costs between $250 and $450 if needed. Whether for show or snuggles, each Saluki is raised to be a beloved companion. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!
